We Are Committed
To Providing You With Timely And Cost-Effective Solutions.
We are not attorneys and can provide self-help services only at your specific direction. Our mission is to help you gain access to the law through education and preparation.
If we can simplify the law through education and preparation, you will be better equipped to understand your situation.
Our Services Include
Family and Divorce
The divorce process is systematic. Either you or your spouse will serve the other with a petition, which we file with the court. You will need to exchange detailed financial information that includes both assets and debts. You also will need to agree on a parenting plan. We are available for questions throughout the process. Our team is compassionate, knowledgeable, and responsive.
Probate and Conservatorship
In a Conservatorship, a judge appoints a responsible person (Conservator) to care for another adult (Conservatee) who cannot care for him/herself or manage his/her own finances. A Conservatorship is often appropriate for someone who is incapacitated, frail, ill or developmentally disabled. Conservatorships are court-appointed; the Conservator is responsible to the court, assumes clearly defined jobs and responsibilities and must keep careful records and be accountable.
Wills and Trusts
A Living Trust is the legal document that outlines the way in which your assets will pass on to your loved ones when you die. When you prepare your Living Trust, you will identify your beneficiaries as well as the person who will carry out your wishes, your successor trustee.
Deed Transfers
A deed is a legal document that transfers a person’s interest in real estate. It can be transferred to another person or to an entity, such as a Living Trust or a Corporation.
Business Formation
Many of our business-formation clients are successful business owners who started out as consultants. They chose the simplest structure, that of sole proprietor, which worked well in the early years, but as they grew and prospered, their businesses became more complex. They added associates and partners and realized that a sole proprietorship was not offering the protections they needed and began to think about incorporating.
Notary Services
Notarization is the process of authenticating a document by a commissioned Notary Public, assuring that its signature is genuine and that the signer acted without duress or intimidation. The key value lies in the Notary’s impartial screening of a signer for identity, willingness and awareness. This screening detects and deters document fraud, helping protect the personal rights and property of private citizens from forgery, identity theft and exploitation.
When notarized, a document will be marked with a stamp, or seal, which indicates that the signature on the document is legitimate. A Notary Public watches you sign a document, and then places the stamp near your signature. This signifies that it was you who signed the document, not someone posing as you.
